Disney Movie Tier List

Hello there! I made another tier list!

Linky Link

List and thoughts are below. Sometimes the thoughts are actually about the movie.

Did not list the "haven't seen" tier. Did not see the point.

Tiers are not in any sort of order. I was not that determined...

S-Tier

Alice in Wonderland

Probably not my favorite Alice in Wonderland adaptation, but I still love this movie. For those that are curious, I think the Hallmark Alice in Wonderland is my favorite adaptation.

Peter Pan

I love almost everything Peter Pan related so of course this movie is high on my list.

Robin Hood

This is why there are so many furries now. Y'all made a fox Robin Hood and expected us to be cool about it?

The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh

I have a soft spot for anything Winnie the Pooh.

The Great Mouse Detective

People do not talk about this movie enough. It is such a great movie. Five stars.

The Little Mermaid

Watching this as an adult is weird because I am just shouting "You are a child!" at Ariel constantly.

Aladdin

This was a favorite when I was a kid and I still love it. Though it does make me sad cause Robin Williams...

Fantasia 2000

I love the Fantasia movies. The art and the music and ugh I love them.

The Emperor's New Groove

This is one of my favorite Disney movies. It is just the best. Absolutely. I wanna watch it right now.

Fantasia

Fun fact, my elementary music teacher had us watch Night on Bald Mountain every year and draw something from the short.

Atlantis: The Lost Empire

I need to watch this again because my memory of it is a bit fuzzy, but I do remember really enjoying it.

Lilo & Stitch

Another one of my absolute favorites.

Treasure Planet

Space. Pirates.

Winnie the Pooh

A book I was reading referred to a woman's genitals as her "honeypot". I haven't been able to watch Winnie the Pooh since. I hate that book... I miss Winnie the Pooh.

A-Tier

Lady and the Tramp

Y'all remember that part where the rat got into the baby's room? That scared the shit out of me as a kid...

The Sword in the Stone

I need to watch this movie again.

The Rescuers

You could see boobs in the original version of this movie. The mice walk by a painting that has a topless woman at one point. Pretty sure that got edited out at some point.

The Rescuers Down Under

I watched this movie a lot as a kid. Watched it more than the first movie.

Beauty and the Beast

Great movie, ugliest Disney prince. At least Belle was hot.

The Lion King

I really liked the hyenas. And Timon and Pumbaa. I really like sidekicks in movies...

Tarzan

sometimes when I watch this movie I just think "How is he holding that vine?"

Meet the Robinsons

That bit with the T-Rex talking about their tiny arms lives rent free in my head.

Princess and the Frog

I love Charlotte. Tiana was great as well, but I love the sidekick characters.

Tangled

This was one of my kiddo's favorite movies as a child. It was one of the only ones I didn't mind watching 20 times a day.

Wreck it Ralph

I love the villain support group.

Zootopia

This is the result of us all watching Robin Hood as children. Which means, the kids that grew up with this will also be furries. Good for them.

Moana

I need to watch this one again. I remember liking it, but I remember very little about it.

Ralph Breaks the Internet

I need to watch this one again, too.

B-Tier

Sleeping Beauty

Did Maleficent really do all of this just cause she didn't get an invite to a party for a baby?

101 Dalmatians

Puppies!

Aristocats

Kitties!

Pocahontas

I loved this movie as a kid... And then I learned all the inaccuracies and I kind of just side-eye it.

Mulan

This one took me years to watch and I have no idea why. It was a good movie.

Chicken Little

This one was about aliens, right? Shit, time to rewatch.

Frozen

Okay. Frozen was a great movie. I really enjoyed it. But dear gods I cannot listen to Let it Go anymore. Please. No more.

Big Hero 6

Was there a cat in this one? I feel like there was a cat. I loved that cat.

C-Tier

Jungle Book

Movie was good. Preferred the live action.

Oliver and Company

I remember very little about this one. There was a cat. And some dogs...

The Hunchback of Notre Dame

It was okay *shrugs*

D-Tier

Cinderella

I don't hate this movie, but it's very low on my list.

Snow White and the Seven Dwarves

Not sure if I have mentioned this on here, but I hate Snow White's voice... Just... nails on a chalkboard to me.

Pinocchio

There was a cat. And a goldfish...

Hercules

I was side-eyeing this movie the minute it claimed Hera was Hercules's loving mother...

Dumbo

*slaps hand on movie* You can fit so much racism in this movie about a flying elephant.

F-Tier

 Fox and the Hound

Fuck this movie. Makes me sob like a baby every time I watch it.

Dinosaur

I remember nothing about this movie aside from the fact that I watched it, so...

Home on the Range

Didn't Rosanne voice a cow in this? I remember watching this... And that's it.

Bambi

Me and my brother used to watch this every year during hunting season. Did not realize how fucked up that was until I was a teenager.

That's it for this one. Now I'm gonna go watch some Disney movies.

30 Day Disney Challenge (in one day)

I got this from Theme Park Princess's blog.
I will only be using Disney things for this. Not Star Wars. Not Marvel. Even though Disney owns them. Just Disney. And Pixar. For reasons.
Also, a lot of these are just going to be the first thing that pops into my head. I don't spend a lot of time thinking about what my favorite Disney love song is, okay?

1. Your favorite character
Kuzco.

2. Your favorite princess
Vanellope. She counts!

3. Your favorite heroine
Does Lilo count? If so, Lilo all the way.

4. Your favorite prince
Eric. Because he is the only prince I can remember having an actual name and speaking more than a couple lines.

5. Your favorite hero
Ralph, from Wreck-It Ralph.

6. Your favorite animal
I always liked Meeko from Pocahontas

7. Your favorite sidekick
Timon and Pumbaa.

8. Your favorite villain
Yzma.

9. Your favorite original character
Pretty much every character from Lilo and Stitch.

10. Your favorite song
Put That Thing Back Where It Came From (or So Help Me)

11. Your favorite love song
Can You Feel the Love Tonight

12. Your favorite villain song
Be Prepared

13. Your least favorite song
I don't think I have one... None come to mind at least.

14. Your favorite kiss
When the dogs kiss over spaghetti.

15. The first movie you saw
I'm not 100% sure but I'm gonna say Lady and the Tramp.

16. Your favorite classic
Peter Pan. I know the movie has some problematic elements (y'all know what I'm talking about) but... I just love Peter Pan.

17. Your least favorite classic
I'm not a big fan of the classic princess movies. Snow White, Sleeping Beauty, and Cinderella. They are good and all, but I find them a bit boring.

18. Your favorite Pixar film
Monsters Inc

19. Your least favorite Pixar film
I guess Planes? That is the only one I know that I have watched but remember nothing from. And I watched it and Cars a lot when I was baby-sitting. Li'l Wookie was way into those movies.

20. Your favorite sequel
I'm gonna go with Toy Story 2.

21. An overrated movie
Ugh. I don't know. Frozen? 🤷🏻‍♀️ It's good, but dear gods did it blow the fuck up for reasons I don't quite understand.

22. An underrated movie
Uh... Uh... Mulan?

23. A movie that makes you laugh
Emperor's New Groove. Sometimes, a scene will pop into my head randomly and I'll giggle.

24. A movie that makes you cry
Up.

25. Your favorite scene from your favorite movie?
The diner scene from Emperor's New Groove. That bit was just perfection.

26. Saddest death
Pretty much all of them. Like, damn, Disney. Way to traumatize.

27. Your favorite quote
"No touchy!"

28. Your favorite theme park
Never been to a Disney park.

29. Your favorite theme attraction
Don't have one.

30. Your favorite theme park show
Nada, dudes.

Six Streaming Recommendations

I am still not sure about that title... But I got nothing else right now so I'm gonna go with it for now.

I stream a lot of stuff. I have access to a satellite but I mostly just watch Schitt's Creek repeats on it when our internet goes out. I also have a massive amount of DVDs and blu-rays. But honestly, I stream more than anything because it is more convenient.

I thought about doing a post for every cool show, movie, and YouTube channel I come across, but I wasn't sure I could stretch me rambling about one thing into a long enough post. So! A list post!

Here's how it's going to work. I will list six things, what platforms you can stream them on, and then I will ramble a bit about them. Hope you enjoy it and maybe find something new to watch.

CJUGames (Linky Link! )

Available on: YouTube

Warnings: He plays a lot of horror games. So, any warnings you think those might have, apply.

CJU (I think his name is Chris, but there are already too many Chrises in my head so it will always be CJU to me) does video game playthroughs. Mostly horror games. His earliest videos don't have commentary, but I much prefer the ones with commentary. He's a funny guy. He has the same sort of sense of humor as me, so it's almost like watching a friend play the game. He does entire playthroughs from beginning to end. And most of the time he reads all the notes and such that you come across in games, which I like. I especially like his videos because I DO NOT like playing horror games for the most part. Too scary. But I love the plots and such for so many of those games. So, I want to see what happens, but my pansy ass will never get far enough in the games to actually know what happens. I enjoy all of his playthroughs, even if the game is shit or something I'm really not interested in. I highly recommend checking out his channel. He is funny, well-spoken, and has a nice voice. And it is fucking hilarious watching him slowly lose his mind during some games. Mother is a good example of this.

Hawkeye

Available on: Disney+

Warnings: Violence. Previous major character death

I thought about starting off with something else from Disney+. There are so many great options on there and I wasn't sure if I wanted to start with something from the MCU. But fuck it. Y'all are gonna have to deal with me gushing about Hawkeye.

Clint Barton became one of my favorite comic book characters around the time that the first Avengers movie came out. Before that, I barely knew he existed. Now the boy is in my top five comic book characters.

I started reading the Matt Fraction Hawkeye run and was gone for the dumpster fire that is Clinton Francis Barton. And the more I watched the MCU the more I was sad that they weren't utilizing him at all. Much less showing off his character and abilities.

And then the show came out.

Oh. My. Gods.

There was just so much good with the show. Katie Kate and Lucky and the Tracksuit Mafia and the trick arrows. There was humor and heartbreaking moments that were both well done and not overused.

And Laura Barton! Oh, that woman deserves so much love. She is so awesome and the show lets that awesomeness shine with little screen time.

The show gave me the Hawkeyes I have been wanting for years. And I was very happy during every episode. Even while I was crying at a few spots.

Harley Quinn

Available On: HBOMax

Warnings: A lot of profanity. Mentions of bestiality (Batman fucks bats, yo). So much violence. Temporary character death.

This show is one of the best things I've seen in a while. It has two seasons as of this writing and both are fucking great. Animation is great. Voice acting is spot on. Plot, characters and all of that is fantastic. And the lack of Joker is just the best. I mean, he's there, but not often enough that I got annoyed. I am so tired of seeing Joker in fucking everything...

The show is hilarious and fun. Not "too dark" as people say a lot of DC stuff is. Though, it is very, very, very Not For Children. Unless you want your kid to know that Batman fucks bats...

Only Murders in the Building

Available On: Hulu

Warnings: Murder. It is in the title, guys.

This show is about a murder. A murder in a building. Shocking, I know.

But seriously, this show is about Charles (Steve Martin), Oliver (Martin Short), and Mabel (Selena Gomez) who live in an apartment building where a murder happens one evening. For various reasons, the trio of true crime podcast fans decide to do a podcast about the murder. Hilarity and mystery follow.

I was worried at first that Selena Gomez wouldn't be able to shine next to the legends that are Steve Martin and Martin Short. I enjoyed her immensely in Wizards of Waverly Place years ago and didn't want her to fade into the background of this show. Which she did not.

The show is a comedy and murder mystery and it blended both together fabulously.

Inside Job

(sorry, no trailer for this one, have a picture of my kiddo with their stuffed Mothman, for reasons. Mothman reasons.)

Available On: Netflix

Warnings: Drug use. Some violence. Some death of minor characters.

I'm not gonna lie, I watched this show for Mothman. I'm a weirdo from West Virginia that is obsessed with cryptids. I saw a trailer and thought it looked fun and planned to watch it at some point. Then I saw that the Mothman was going to be in it and I went from "I'll watch that at some point" to watching the entire series within a week.

The show is an animated workplace comedy. The workplace just happens to be a government agency that keeps all those wild conspiracy theories (which happen to be true) under wraps.

the show is a delight. Well written and quite amusing. Characters are fun and not annoying.

Downside is that Mothman only shows up for, like, one episode. Need more of him.

Murder, She Wrote

Available On: Peacock

Warnings: Murder. Lots of murder.

I never really watched Murder, She Wrote when I was younger. But, then I started watching Pushing Up Roses talk about the show and I just had to watch it. Got the Peacock app just so I could watch it. Though, I do use the free version. I can deal with ads for Jessica Fletcher outsmarting everyone.

For those that are unaware, this show is about Jessica Fletcher, a murder mystery writer, who just keeps stumbling across murders that she, for some reason, helps solve.

The show is surprisingly wholesome considering at least one murder takes place per episode. Jessica has various nieces and nephews and friends and former students that she visits. And she is a kindly aunt type of person to damn near everyone.

Some parts of the show aren't super believable, but c'mon, it's a fun little show. Also, I adore the friendship trio of Jessica, Seth, and Amos. Was sad when Amos left. But his replacement is pretty good as well.

That's all I got this week. Let me know if you liked this format or if I should just ramble about one thing at a time.
