6 Games I Would Play the Fuck Out Of

I am not aware if any of these games do exist, but I do not have an encyclopedic knowledge of every game ever made, so if anyone knows of any games that fit these descriptions, let me know. Also, with all of these, I am not talking about online shit. I don't play games online. I sit in my dark room alone to play video games.

MonsterVerse Fighting Game

I think Ryan first brought this idea to my brain. But fuck, it would be awesome. Monsterverse, for those unaware, Monsterverse is what WB/Legendary calls its lineup with Godzilla, Godzilla: King of the Monsters, Kong: Skull Island, and Godzilla vs. Kong (just stole that explanation from Ryan cause he’s smarter than me). So, imagine those guys/ladies in a fighting game. Looks awesome, right? Yeah. I want that shit.

Paranormal Investigator Game

There are a few of these games, but none have covered exactly what I want. Phasmophobia comes the closest. But, I don’t want online multiplayer. I want a game where you are a paranormal investigator. You start out with nothing. Just a flashlight and your wits. You have to go to buildings to learn about ghosts that are haunting the place. The more you find out, the easier it is for someone (maybe you) to get rid of the ghost. I also want multiple locations. The haunted building, of course, but also an office or something where you can also do research to figure out the entity in the building. And each haunting you take care of, you get paid and can start buying equipment. You can also hire a team, but while hiring a team will help out because you can delegate tasks, that also means you have to share the pay with them. Also, the ghosts can’t kill you. But if you half-ass the job, people will be less likely to hire you for more jobs. You do a good job and you get better jobs.

Marvel fighting game

Not Marvel vs. Capcom. While I do enjoy those games, I want just Marvel characters. Like Injustice for the DC characters. The story mode could easily be Civil War or something new. I would prefer something new but whatever works.

A monster-hunting game

Wait.

Hold on.

I got more to say.

A monster-hunting game sort of like those big game hunter games from Cabelas and shit but monsters. Online play not required to get the best monsters or any of that nonsense. And you have options to play in a stereotypical fantasy setting, and a modern-day setting. As you hunt, you can sell things you harvest from the monsters for money that you can use to buy better weapons and all that. The Witcher mobile game is close to what I want, but… I want it on a console. And no microtransactions or anything.

An open-world RPG with no main plot.

Not Minecraft.

Do not come at me shouting about Minecraft.

Let me explain more.

I want a mash-up of Elder Scrolls, Dragon Age, Animal Crossing and The Sims.

Basically, I want a game where you’re just some rando that decides to be an adventurer or whatever in some medieval fantasy-type world. So, off you go. And you get sent on millions of side quests as you go. And there is no main plot running in the background as you play. No big reveal that you’re actually royalty or anything like that. You’re just some random person who wants adventure. And the side quests range from fetch quests to escort missions to assassinations. And a lot of them can be completed in different ways. Like, let’s say you get sent to kill a monster. And you find out the “monster” is actually a peaceful creature. You could still kill it and earn some gold. Or you could help it relocate and earn some more work from other sentient creatures that people think are monsters. (I think that might be a questline in a Witcher game. Not sure.)

And there can be romances. Or you could sleep with random people you meet at the tavern. Hit up some brothels. Whatever you want.

Pretty much, I want a game that I can pick up whenever I want to play a video game, but can’t focus on a big story. And Animal Crossing only gives me so much.

A Naruto game that focuses more on the plot than the fighting.

How I described this idea to my friend was “Something like Dragon Age: Origins, but in the Naruto universe. And instead of fighting with swords and magic, you’re a ninja. And during fighting bits, it goes to a fighting game type of gameplay”.

I would like something like that, where you pick which Hidden Village you come from, and the game starts when you graduate from the Academy. You get a genin team, who are your companions in the game. And during the fighting parts, you can call on them for help. Like a Super Special Meter fills up, and when you get it completely full, your Jonin Sensei comes in with some awesome ninja move. There are acts like in Dragon Age 2, so at the end of each act there is a time skip. And to end each act, you have to go to the next rank. The entire first act could just be preparing for and going to the Chunin exams. Then when you pass, Act 2 begins. And around the middle of the game, there is a choice to make where you can either continue on the path to defeat the Big Bad. Or you can join the Big Bad. Either way, at the end, you defeat the Big Bad. But, if you joined, you become the new Big Bad. Or something.

And that's all for this week. See y'all next Wednesday 👋🏻

  1. If you want an open world RPG with no real plot, I suggest Fallout 76. There is a storyline that you can follow but you don't absolutely need to. Even if you do, it doesn't take long at all to complete. That's something that some people love, and others hate about the game.

    1. I do need to play that. We own it, I just heard it was all online play and got kind of turned off. But I really wanna try to find my house😂 And see what other places I've been are in the game.
